Classroom Expectations

In my classroom I will be using a behavior management program that is called Our Success Plan. This plan is divided into 5 categories. The following explains each of the five parts:
- Every day the students begin the day on The Great Me spot. This spot is where students make the right choices.
- If students are caught doing something extra special for someone else, they can move up to The Golden Rule. This means they do nice things for others and in return have nice things done for them.
- The next part is called the Privilege. If students continue doing nice things for others then, they are moved up to Privilege. This is where they are rewarded for their outstanding behavior.
- When students are making the wrong choices in class they will be moved to Stop and Think. At this spot students are given a warning for inappropriate behavior.
- If after receiving a warning the students continue with the inappropriate behavior, they are then moved to the Make It Right spot. This is where students must face the consequences for their choices. This may be time out in the classroom or during recess.
All during the day this behavior plan will be used with the children. Students have opportunities to improve their behavior and be a Great Me! This positive behavior management program will show students that they are responsible for their success in Kindergarten.
